Founded in 2003 as a non-profit trade association, NAPBS
serves to represent the interest of companies offering employment and
background screening. NAPBS gives the screening industry the ability to effectively
demonstrate its competence, reliability and willingness to adopt standards.
NAPBS is the best means to associate those companies able and willing to
conform to standards and to meet the highest expectations of our clients and
law-makers. NAPBS has adopted By-Laws, a Code of Conduct, and a Mission
Statement.

NASA is a group of leading Professional Screening Agencies that
work together to share information on tenants across the Nation to better
service their clients. NASA provides an assurance of the highest standards of
professionalism and integrity in the screening industry. Our goal is to be a
regulatory body to establish and enforce industry standards.
PROA
is the Pennsylvania state-wide landlords association. We represent the interests
of residential rental owners in Pennsylvania state government by providing
full time lobbying in the state legislature. Our newsletters and
bulletins keep our members informed of legislative issues affecting their
rental business. We also hold conferences and other educational
programs for apartment owners. PROA has local chapters located throughout
Pennsylvania.

Lake Erie Landlord Association, LELA, (founded in 1988), is a non-profit,
educational organization located in Lorain County, OH. LELA provides a means for it's
members to network and exchange landlord and real estate information. We
strive to educate, inform, exchange ideas and improve the status, as well as
the financial well being of all housing providers. Our members are known
locally as landlords that work to improve the condition of housing for
everyone.
